Standardization

LWAPP was proposed by Airespace, as a accepted agreement to accommodate interoperability amid any cast of admission point. Airespace was purchased by Cisco Systems. Its purpose was to assimilate "lightweight" admission credibility with the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), but it was accustomed as a standard. Sponsored by Cisco Systems, the IETF accustomed it in RFC 5412.
